I appreciate your list of safety tips for when you are white water rafting, especially to wear a life jacket even if you think that you are a great swimmer. Anything could happen out on the water, and you should be prepared and not cocky. My son and his friends want to go on a white water rafting trip this summer, so I will be sure to enforce that they wear all the safety gear.

We are a 16 member group coming from India on 26/10/2017 to 28/10/2017. We want to visit Uluwatu temple for fire dance and to Jimbaran Beach on 26/10/2017 from 15.00 onwards.

27/10/2017 by 13.00 we wish to leave for Taman Ayun Temple and Tanah Lot Temple and finish the night with shopping in Bali.

On 28/10/2017 watch Barong Dance at Batubulan Village 9.30 AM. Visit Celuk & Batuan Villages and visit Batuan Temple.Then move to Kintamani Village and have lunch there. Lake Batur & Mount Batur view. Visit rice terrace view at Tegallalang Village.Then to UBUD monkey forest and then back to hotel.

1. Is this a hectic tour?
2. Which is the safest and cheaper Water sports operator in Tanjung Benoa Beach ?
3. Can you recommend good and cheap restaurants in Tanjung Benoa Beach ?

Dear Abhishek,

To reach Ubud to Tulamben, you need to get a car rental (self-drive or with driver). There is no public transport from Ubud to Tulamben, except taxi meter.

Car rental with driver + fuel, from Ubud to Tulamben will cost approximately IDR 600.000 for transfer only.

Yes, you can join Mount Batur Sunrise trek while staying in Ubud, you need to book in advance for Mount Batur sunrise trekking. Also, please make sure you choose a reliable operator for this activities.

It is one of the first steps in first aid to consider pre-existing medical conditions. Your advice here suggesting telling the guide about your condition could save lives. The guide is likely trained in first aid as rafting is an inherently dangerous activity. If he can connect your symptoms to the condition you warned him about, it gives him that much better of a chance to save your life.

If you want to find a reputable rafting guide, then you should choose the white water rafting operator in Bali that has experience more than 20 years of Bali river rafting. The rafting operator is Sobek Rafting.

Sobek Rafting provides Bali rafting tours on two rivers, and there are Sobek Rafting Telaga Waja river and Sobek Rafting Ayung river Ubud.

Your tip about always following your river guide's instructions was very insightful. My sons have been so excited about our rafting trip at the end of the summer and I am trying to plan out where we should go. Do most rafting companies provide guides that will guide you down the river? Finding a reputable guide might be the best option for our trip.
